Terms of participation and privacy policy at the conference

 
§ 1 Registration, registration confirmation
 
1.) Registration for events must be made in writing by means of online registration, unless otherwise stated in the invitation or announcement of the event.
 
2.) A registration confirmation will be sent to you by e-mail.
 
3.) The registration is binding. If you are unable to attend, please contact us at konferenz@urheber.info.
 
4.) The organizer reserves the right to changes, i.e. replace announced speakers with others and to make necessary changes to the program of the event while maintaining the overall character of the event.
 
5.) You agree by your binding registration that the given data (first name, last name, title and company / institution) will be published on the participant list of the event. The list of participants is available to other participants of the event as well as to the speakers and event partners in printed form.
 
 
§ 2 Privacy
 
1.) With your binding registration, you consent to the processing of personal data concerning you for the purpose of carrying out the event and publishing your first name, last name, title and your company / institution.
 
We would like to inform you in accordance with article 13 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR) about the processing of your personal data (hereinafter referred to as "data"). The EU GDPR imposes some meaningful obligations on us to ensure the protection of your data during processing. In the following, we explain what kind of personal data we collect from you and process and for what purposes as well as which rights you have in this regard.
 
2.) Purposes of processing
We process your data in accordance with Article 6 paragraph 1 lit. a) the EU GDPR on the basis of your consent by the binding registration for the event:
- Creation of the list of participants and name tags (first name, last name, title, name of the company / institution)
- Certificate of attendance (first name, last name, company)
 
3.) Duration of processing
We only process your data for as long as it is necessary for the planning and the final execution of the event or due to applicable legislation. Should you wish the deletion of your data, we will delete your data immediately, as long as there are no legal storage requirements.
 
4.) Your rights as an affected person
Under the EU GDPR you have the right to:
- Information about the processing of your data
- Correction or deletion of your data
- Limitation of processing (only storage possible)
- objection to the processing
- Data portability
- Revocation of your given consent with effect for the future
- Complaint to the data protection supervisory authority.
The competent supervisory authority is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, An der Urania 4-10, 10787 Berlin.
 
 
§ 3 Copyright
 
1.) All conference documents of our events are protected by copyright. The participants are granted only a simple, non-transferable right of use for personal use. In particular, the participant and third parties are not permitted to change the contents of the conference documents - even in extracts - or to use modified versions, to copy them for third parties, to make them publicly accessible or forward them to the Internet or other networks for a fee or free of charge to copy, resell, or use for commercial purposes. Any copyright notices, marks or trademarks may not be removed.
 
2.) For all film and sound recordings planned during the event, permission by the Initiative Urheberrecht must be obtained in advance. Taking into account the rights of third parties, photographs are permitted to a reasonable extent for private purposes. The Initiative Urheberrecht accepts no responsibility or liability for any incorrect content of the presentations and documentation.
 
 
§ 4 photo and film recordings
 
1.) Initiative Urheberrecht may produce photographic, audio and film recordings that are published in various online and offline media. These recordings are associated with the pictorial representation of people present, the selection of persons can also random. A representation of the pictures takes place on the homepage, print media and social media channels of the organizer. This also applies to events that are offered in cooperation with third parties.
 
2.) Upon entering the function rooms, the participant's consent to unpaid publication in the above manner and distribution and / or time-unlimited storage and making available of the recorded image, sound and film material in the context of the public relations of the organizer. The personal rights remain in each case protected.
3.) If the participant in the individual case does not agree with the publication of his person, we ask for the direct communication with the person(s) responsible for the events.
